Sealskin( 2014) HD. Narrative Fiction Short Film. (Cantonese/Icelandic)

Produced as a part of The Weight of Mountains Residency, Skagastrond, Iceland, December 2013- February 2014, which is a process based artistic development program that encourages film artists and filmmakers to create a new short film with the support of a structured and curated residency over 3 months in challenging and new environments.

‘Sealskin’ is a fraction of the experience of the displaced person, the outsider as she lives suspended in a space of longing for what was once. Jolene Mok uses that which is closest to her, the seals, as the symbolic equivalent for the lack in her life.
