Do Nothing

Do Nothing, a film by Deadend Left and Amrita Bhoomi follows the story of a couple – KM Raje Gowda and Kalpana who move from chemical farming into Zero Budget Natural Farming (Subhash Palekar’s method). This is a portrait not just of their farm but also peeks into the Green Revolution, Pesticide Companies, Prof MD Nanjundaswamy’s fight against TNCs via KRRS.



J M Veerasangaiah: Fundraiser Film

This short form film was made in order to support the fundraising campaign by JM Veerasangaiah, a farmers’ leader who has been very active in social movements in Karnataka. While heading the ‘Equitable Distribution of Electricity’ campaign initiated by Prof Nanjundaswamy, in 2003, he was subjected to police torture that resulted in renal failure. This film was made in collaboration with JM Veerasangaiah, his partner Smt Saraswati and Karnataka Rajya Raitha Sangha.
